SilverSmith Inc. Completes Real-Time Testing of Products for Custody Transfer

SilverSmith Inc. announces that it’s line of metering products have been submitted to real-time testing and achieved accuracy within the defined limits of custody transfer meters.

Working with Ronald E. Beaty PE and Premiere Measurement Services; SilverSmith, Inc. refined and verified it’s metering processes and calculations with marked improvements in both efficiency and accuracy.

The products were submitted to the Southwestern Research Institute (SwRI) for real-time testing. Across the board, SilverSmith’s metering products performed excellent in run by run basis comparisons. The SilverSmith products showed an overal absolute difference of only 0.24% with 0.22% scatter. The resulting overall difference on a run by run basis equals 0.46%, not accounting for SwRI’s published uncertainty of 0.15%.

These achieved results are well within the defined tolerances of a Custody Transfer Meter and the SilverSmith, Inc. metering products have been approved for use as such.

Ronald E. Beaty is the Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Premier Measurement Services, Inc., where he serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the corporation.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa.  Mr. Beaty is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and Oklahoma.
