SilverSmith, Inc. Gas Measurement Products Pass Independent Review

SilverSmith, Inc. has commissioned Ronald E. Beaty PE to conduct an independent review of SilverSmith, Inc.'s line of gas measurement products.

Mr. Beaty is recognized worldwide as a measurement expert.  His research has been used by the API, GPA and ISO in the development of standards.  Mr. Beaty chaired the United States delegation to ISO TC 28 SC 5 and ISO TC 193 WG 3.  He has also chaired the API Committee on Petroleum Measurement and the GPA Technical Section H.  During his eleven year term as Chairman of the Committee on Gas Fluids Measurement, he chaired the research project to develop new coefficient data for orifice meters and prepare a new API Standard and ISO standard.  He was instrumental in standardizing volume calculations by API and ISO.  Mr. Beaty recently chaired the rewrite of the orifice meter standard concerning design and installation specifications.  He has published over 37 papers.  He has received numerous awards from national and international bodies for his accomplishments and service.

Mr. Beaty’s company, Premier Measurement Services, Inc., calculated 81 results using AGA3 1992 formula and AGA8 Gross Method 2 formula, which are both used in SilverSmith’s product line to measure gas flow.

The median results calculated show a difference of 0.0022.

This finding, by such an industry luminary as Mr. Beaty, cements SilverSmith's reputation as a world class manufacturer of gas measurement products.

Ronald E. Beaty is the Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Premier Measurement Services, Inc., where he serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the corporation.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa.  Mr. Beaty is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and Oklahoma.
