API 21.1

The American Petroleum Institute's standard for measuring gas flow using electronic metering systems defines the API's criteria for gas measurement and production recording. SilverSmith,Inc. has implemented all relevent sections of this specification to ensure that our products are fully compliant with this imprtant standard.

Specifically, the standard calls for the following critera, as applicable to our products:

The minimal sampling frequency of any dynamic input variable shall be one second.

On-Site Calculations
Hourly average value for metered values.
Hourly quantity totals.
Date and Time records for all averages and totals.
Total Quantity accumulations for contracted measurement periods.
Meter run values and other values required for calculations stored in the meter.
Instantaneous readings of values readable on-site.
'as found' and 'as left' calibration values recorded.
Record old and new values for any changed input varialbles that affect calculations.
Full summary of alarm and error conditions that affect measurement, including a description of the condition.
Record daily summary of hours/percent of time for flow or no flow.
Event dates and times ordered chronologically.
Unique meter id.
For collection period, all original data, plus all locally edited data. Longer term data available off-site.

Audit and Reporting
Records and reports may be created on-site or off-site.
Notes and record exceptions and changes to flow parameters.
Flow measurement data must be retained for two years.

Commissioning
The meteres internal volume calculations shall be checked and documented in accordance with guidelines.

Calibration and Verification
Product must be within a 1 percent variation of flow over the expected range, verified against comparison to established, known rates.
